Dean Rader has authored or co-authored eleven books, including Works & Days, winner of the 2010 T. S. Eliot Prize, Landscape Portrait Figure Form, named a Best Book of the Year by the Barnes & Noble Review, and Self-Portrait as Wikipedia Entry, a finalist for the Oklahoma Book Award and the Northern California Book Award. Recent work appears or will appear in POETRY, American Poetry Review, New England Review, Harvard Review, BOMB, Adroit Journal, Narrative, Zyzzyva, Best of the Net and others. His next collection of poems, Before the Borderless: Dialogues with Cy Twombly, is forthcoming in 2023 from Copper Canyon Press. Dean's writing has been supported by fellowships from Princeton University, Harvard University, The Headlands Center for the Arts, the MacDowell Foundation, and the John R. Solomon Guggenheim Foundation, where, in 2019, he was named a Guggenheim Fellow in Poetry. He is a professor at the University of San Francisco.
