Today's poem is by Jessica Goodfellow

Orange

"Orange is for impermanence,"
explains the Buddhist monk turned
tour guide, of his form-
er uniform.

When my uncle died,
all they sighted were
his ice axe and
his orange sleeping bag

that once had held his form,
now unreachable.
These items too were soon
covered by a uniform of snow.
