Rebecca Foust's five books of poetry include Paradise Drive, winner of the 2015 Press 53 Award for Poetry and reviewed in Times Literary Supplement, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Huffington Post and The Philadelphia Inquirer, and in journals including The Georgia Review, The Harvard Review, and The Hudson Review. Recognitions include the 2018 Lascaux Prize for Short Fiction, the 2017 C.P. Cavafy Prize, the 2015 James Hearst Poetry Prize judged by Jane Hirshfield, the 2015 American Literary Review Fiction Prize judged by Garth Greenwell, and the 2014 Constance Rooke Creative Nonfiction Prize, as well as fellowships from The Frost Place, MacDowell, Sewanee, and West Chester Poetry Conference. New poems, stories and essays are or will be published in Blackbird, The Hudson Review, The Massachusetts Review, Poet Lore, Salamander, Zyzzyva, and elsewhere. The current poet laureate of Marin County, Foust writes a weekly column for Women's Voices for Change, and is an assistant editor for Narrative Magazine. With Melissa Stein, she founded and curates the popular Poetry World Series in San Francisco, Mill Valley, New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles.
