Today's poem is by Laura McKee

"Do you think one should always follow one's heart?"

I was looking for a word and I was close
the way the taxi driver was close, struggling
with an umbrella by the side of the road.
There was enough wind to turn it inside out.
There was not enough to describe it accurately
again. The gutters on our house were failing.
Water poured off the roof. Oceans rose.
Someone was playing a toy piano. The car shook
in rime with the windshield wipers. Of course.
Of course. Machines solve very few problems.
