Today's poem is by Aaron Anstett

Big Statement

Then the air looks wavy
like it's full of umlauts.
Then the landscape looks iffy
and the people in it

like molecules shimmying.
Then the video all things
stream buffers. Then reality
suffers packet loss and jitter.

Sublimating self
in service of the spectacle,
we undermine powers
arranging phrases, no?

Then the moment's fresh
prospects blossom
like flowers of fruit
transformed to flesh.

Then we're in history
like a robbery in progress.
Then we're in the world
like a building in flames.
