Today's poem is by Dan Rifenburgh

Uncle Kenny

Ghostly and unknown by me,
Mangled by forceps
In difficult birthing,
We send him cards, tobacco

And, for his bad birth,
Forget him as well as can be
And do not unearth
The ghost of hard birth,

The ghastly smirk of it,
The unnerving smirk (this
Is a sane family), the forced
Forceps pinched smirk,

The —0, don't
Get hurt
In the shiny chute
Tumbling out of eternity.

You'll get strange cards
And tobacco
From your
Ghost family.
