About Everyone Loves The Situation:

"Cirelli has confronted the complex and challenging task of allowing the Guidos and Guidettes to pump their fists through the walls of class, racism and sexism, informing us of the harsh judgment calls that can be used against any of us. Transforming "spider webs" into "dream catchers," Cirelli's intonation recalls Lawrence Ferlinghetti—in piercing language and behind-the-scenes insight."
—Maria Lisella

"Beneath the verbal provocation, jibes, and endless taunts, Cirelli harnesses a poetics that's both seductive and disconcerting in its denuding of cultural excess. In poems that can be at once raw, endlessly propulsive, and politically astute, he exposes the tragic ethos of our dire contemporary moment where wars and threaded eyebrows, malls and illusory identity, vie frenetically for our saturated attention."
—Peter Covino
