Postcard Home
       

The hotel room's an absolute disaster. Your feet under your head, etc.
The Turkish dwarf, it tappo, that terrible Turkish plug, squats downstairs
and hands you a dirty key when }you come in. His moustache a min-
iature Sadaam—name's Mutate or Mugwump. (Told me Murat but I
don't believe him.) Two black cats on the front step—the only good
luck. Just look at the ruin here. "Magnificent decay, etc." Wish you
were here.
