Today's poem is by Robert E. Haynes

From "The Unauthorized Fragments"

Schrodinger himself was not quite so certain....
                      Werner Heisenberg

Too much of you is exposed
between rafters, Fiberglas cotton
more pink than muscle.

Visions can do that!

What I wanted to say (even without thinking about it)
was something a friend told me
about math and what forms were
searching for—
not so much a destination but a place
the mind can see
when looking
up (or around) for itself.

Now at a certain age, I marvel
at how an idea can change
the way eyes look
into a narrow place
watching the hand turn back
the wet tips
oh just so—
