William Logan's most recent book of poems is Night Battle (Penguin). His book of essays and reviews, Reputations of the Tongue (Florida), was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. His expanded edition of Randall Jarrell's Poetry and the Age, for which he wrote the introduction, was published last summer. His new book of criticism, Desperate Measures, was published by Florida in December.
