Heather Ross Miller, with over a dozen books of poetry and fiction, is Distinguished Professor Emeritus from Washington and Lee University. Recent books include Friends and Assassins: Poems (U of Missouri P), Champeen: A Novel (Southern Methodist UP), and Crusoe's Island: The story of a Writer and a Place (Coastal Carolina).
