Donald Platt's second book, Cloud Atlas, won the 2002 Verna Emery Poetry Prize and was published by Purdue University Press. His poems have appeared or are forthcoming in The Paris Review, Ploughshares, The Georgia Review, The Kenyon Review, The Best American Poetry 2000, and The Pushcart Prize XXVII (2003). He is an associate professor of English at Purdue University.
