About Clemency:

"She uses honest ink, writes syllable by syllable, and makes almost every poem a finished work that stands apart from its background. With skill and love, she takes them farther than most poets can without taking them beyond control or usefullness."
—Henry Taylor

"Inez's work can be characterized as lively, literate, passionate and learned... every poem becomes a kind of mirror in which she contemplates the mysteries of her 'demon mask.'"
Library Journal

"Her curiousity is insatiable, her intuition is vibrant and somehow right. It is a joy to observe her vivid language at work."
—Robert McDowell, Hudson Review
