How to Set a Broken Bone

So what isn't broken already anyway?
I've got four lawnmowers that won't
cut a weed down, and one decent pain
killer is a week's food bill. Subtract
the time it takes to twist a tourniquet
around a femur from the gin shots
to get us around the bend.
Today the sun rose on time, the weather
changed from clear to mostly doom
in the time it takes to go from bad
to worse. Rabbits have invaded
my garden, ticks suck the life
from my hound, and now we've
got to fix this goddamned system
so the world continues to spin?
Grab a hefty stick and lean on it.
It's not as far home as you think.
