Today's poem is by Ryler Dustin

Riddle, Oregon

Stutter steps of a stray dog
                            range the wind-bit pines.

Past scattered trailers and the nickel mine,
waste pits shine like the slag of stars.

A trussed-up deer dangles from a false cedar.
Possums squabble for scraps of moon.
