Today's poem is by Ghassan Zaqtan (translated by Fady Joudah)

Strangeness

Tiny mirrors released me into my mother's palms
hay released me to the roof of our house
and I released myself to you
be careful!
you're breaking me
with your hands
be careful
when you squeeze my ribs
or press a lax
joint in my arm
my bones
are frail
my song
grinds stone
