Today's poem is by Daniel Tobin

Post-Orpheus

Suns, choiring strings above
the gunmetal wasteland
where we nest—

                            a thought
tall as a tree, grasping, keys
itself to light's accordant hum...

There are still songs to be sung
on the other side of the human.
