Today's poem is by David Radavich

Caveat

Be careful what
you let into your head.

It may take root
there, send shoots through
the system,

leaf into your soul
and then shed

all into the winter wale.

Not every gust needs
inviting in,

or to enter beyond
your doorstep.

So much poison
in the world seeps, seeps

willfully into the mind-frame.

Don't open any
suspicious packages.

Look under the bloom
for thorns.

Your nature
deserves its chamber

of time
and tapestry

free of smog,
self without greed

folding
into cool

night

the music
finding its ears.
