The Girls Who Work at the Makeup Counter

The girls who work at the makeup counter
live holy lives, and drink each hour
seven glasses of rainwater.

The girls who work at the makeup counter
live holy lives, and sleep in herbal blankets
each night for fragrant hours.

The girls who work at the makeup counter
live holy lives, and wake to paint
one sunrise on each eye.
