Today's poem is by Katherine Lucas Anderson

Inundation

To your horror is overstating it.

But yes, too many tulips.

This has become an agribusiness.

Churning is not the same

As unearthing a bit of willowware

Butter dish fragment

Scrap of something worth saving.

Silence the chatter

Celebrity marathon glitterati gowns.

That robin is swollen.

We've all found an intact blue one.

Bend a branch just don't

Snap your fingers and expect vowels

Acute angels to rush in.

Say your prayers let hopeful assume

Some shop-worn form.

Clod-hop where you fear to tread,

Pin however many down.
