Let’s get this ménage a trois started.
You, me, and this three legged
dog of a city. The most majestic
creature here is a blimp in the sky,
soaring over abandoned warehouses.
Middle class looking houses are
undercover brothels. Drive through
convenience stores face vandalized
elementary schools.

Let’s pretend gas stations are romantic.
My house by the highway could
be a lovers’ paradise if we get naked fast
enough. When your body outshines
my past lovers and this city, I
won’t know if I’m happy or sad.
