Today's poem is by Michelle Gil-Montero

Once

Once again begins
With once

Then crunches underfoot
The always

Unseasonable yellow
Leaves

And restlessness
And once again

Like charts accruing moons
At different degrees
Of satiation

It is a time of many

Half-thoughts
Quick-edged as cut-outs

Once my window is a book
Of esoteric recipes
For sleep
