Heather June Gibbons grew up on an island in Washington State and received her MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Recent poems have appeared in Southeast Review, Gulf Coast, New Ohio Review, Cincinnati Review, and Anti-, and a chapbook is forthcoming from Q Ave Press. She is a Continuing Lecturer in English at Purdue University.
