Today's poem is by George Bradley

Limit

Beast put to pasture does not feed
At ease, but battens to the fence,
Describing the circumference
Of opportunity and need;
Grazing best pushes to where
An eager tooth can only nibble,
Seeking beyond close-cropped stubble
Scents so sharp the nostrils flare.
