Today's poem is by Melissa Dickey

Habitual

I arrive with wind in my sweater
to triumph over chit-chat.
Here I go, an animal again
in my body wilderness.

My hair changes with the seasons,
a tangle of black crosses.
Birds disperse the big picture
with a little phrase.

Welcome, technician!
Grab a pose. Make capable
to fan the clown pants on a businessman.

His purple shirt!
Outrageous tie!

Yes, I hear you
in a thousand images.
If exaggeration is the truth,

the truth must be huge.
