Today's poem is by Sue D. Burton

Why I'm Not Coming to My Funeral

You don't want me there.

No raisins in the cake.

You set out photos of another woman.

The night too dark, the day too hot.

The daisies in disarray.

You stood on my porch,
looking in, but didn't knock.

I opened the storm, Do I know you?
You said, No.

I said, I have to go in now.
You said, Yes.
