Today's poem is "Svendborg Sound"

Rick Hilles, the recipient of a 2008 Whiting Writers' Award, is the which won the 2005 Agnes Lynch Starrett Poetry Prize and was named the 2006 Poetry Book of the Year by ForeWord Magazine. He was the 2002-2003 Amy Lowell Poetry been a Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford Tat- C. Halls Fellow at UW-Madison; a fellow of the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France and the Liguria Study Italy; and was awarded the Larry Levis Editors' Prize from The Missouri Review. His work has appeared in Harper's, The Hudson Review, Poetry, The Nation, The New Republic, Salmagundi, Field, and Withness. He received his MFA from Columbia in English and Creative Writing at Vanderbilt University. The poem published in this issue is from his next collection, called Boundary Waters.
