Today's poem is by Janée J. Baugher

Rinsing East

Over the Atlantic now, between
    plummet and sight:
    noctilucent clouds,
        perfect streak of sun-let,
        the unveiling of day.

Light fuchsia hovers under slate.
    Multiparous sky — perk sunshone,
    cadmium verve. Destined
        for watermark and landslide,
        resolute in this between-here.

In morning stark, me
in a suit of mail —
    some spires of light
        ricochet off metal,
        some spires touch flesh.
