Michael Dumanis is an assistant professor of literature and creative writing at Cleaveland State University-Carbondale, where he also teaches. His first collection of poetry, My Soviet Union, won the 2006 Juniper Prize for Poetry. He has been published in several journals, including Denver Quarterly, New England Review, crazyhorse, and Verse.
