Roberto Juarroz (1925-1995) published fifteen books of poetry in his native Argentina, all of them titled Posia vertical. His work has been translated into many languages and is included in such anthologies as The Poetry of Our World: An Intrernational Anthology of Contempoary Poetry and The Vintage Book of Contemporary World Poetry.

Mary Crow has published book-length translations of the work of Roberto Juarroz, Jorge Teillier, and Olga Orozco (finalist for the Translation Award from PEN) and an anthology of contemporary Latin American women poets which she edited and partially translated.
