Today's poem is by Aaron McCollough

Prisoner's Wreath

Insatiable cormorant come light by me
By me you feast on black and white and cry
Mule more than cry good stubborn bird of seals
Seals of consequence these red cracker crumbs
Crumbling on vertices and horizons
Orisons notwithstanding too late now
Now is the greeting of the pelicans
Feeding their blood to their infinite young
We are friends aren't we and young and fed there
At their threshold just damp with the change
(The colliquating penance of the cracks)
Cracks gone in mercies and skeins on wet wings
