Today's poem is by Danielle Pafunda

Pearl

Permanent prenatal nimbus, whack-skulled
and coreless. A dim sob, your patina. Ductless,
weep not, but swoon. Adored solder, head-drilled
emissary. In the privilege tents, you cauterize.
Make a prosthetic heart and fibrillate.

Oh little wine glut. Oh little about whom little.
Precious gut fed tumor moon. Rigged spectral
bloodless treasure. Asexual dilettante, dandy
parasite. Replicated endlessly along the flesh-
proud wire.

Kin to the calcified fetus, you pledge constant
companionship. Hush-hush and organ-palmed.
