Mike Dockins's first full-length collection of poems, Slouching in the Path of a Comet, is forthcoming from Sage Hill Press early in 2007. A nominee for Best New Poets 2006 and for a Pushcart prize, Mike is co-founding editor of Redactions: Poetry & Poetics. His poems have appeared in numerous journals, including The Gettysburg Review, Crazyhorse, and Third Coast, and they have been featured on Verse Daily. "Dead Critics Society" —a double abecedarian like "Timbuktu"— will appear in The Best American Poetry 2007, guest edited by Heather McHugh. Mike also appears with his band Clop.
