He earned his MFA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was a Juniper Fellow and received the Distinguished Teaching award. His work can be found in journals such as Tin House, Iowa Review, LIT, Quick Fiction, Mississippi Review, and Gulf Coast.
