Alice Friman’s book Zoo (U of Arkansas P, 1999) won the Ezra Pound Poetry Award from Truman State University and the Sheila Motton Prize from the New England Poetry Club. Her latest collection of poems is The Book of the Rotten Daughter (BkMk P, 2006). She lives in Milledgeville, Ga., where she serves as poet-in-residence at Georgia College & State University.
