UFOs

First, the facts we know:
We know their green skin,

we know their game plan
—Peace, or to bestow

sad grace on our slow,
ape-brained destruction—

know their attention
is centered below

on us, our thorough
dissatisfaction

with it all, chagrined
attempts to rise through

roofs, to undergo
their good instruction.
