Today's poem is by Jennifer Michael Hecht
One track befalls the lying artist:
his hand gets caught in a fact.
He grasps at last his rock of dying.
Hear about the trapeze artist?
Caught his wife in the act.
Latched her arms and found them flying.
Pressing onward is half-based on slipping.
Even here tripping is better than rhyme.
It moves days on to other times.
