Joel Ferdon was born in Moreno Valley, California, but now calls Concord, North Carolina, home. His work has appeared in such journals as Cold Mountain Review, LouisianaLiterature, and storySouth. He has been a contributor at the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and nominated for a Pushcart Prize. He works as a Library Assistant at the Kannapolis Library in North Carolina, and is currently pursuing an MLIS at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
