About Another Autumn:

"Another Autumn is everything its title suggests: at once full of brilliant color and crisp detail while it gathers things past, things loved, things lost. The poems in the fine collection are about seasons and, more specifically, seasons passing. Seasons of childhood, parenthood, friendship andlove. Each poem charts the weather of each head on, unflinchingly, yet with great heart."
—Peter Serchuk

"How lucky we are to have a generous selection of Yvonne Higgins Leach’s very fine poems in one volume. ‘The more darkness covers moon / the more we reveal,’ as she observes. ‘Soon we know names, jobs, children’s ages.’ So, too, with Higgins Leach, who bravely opens her heart in intimate poems about family, love, loss, community, work, separation, and connection, and by doing so, invites us to consider our own lives more thoughtfully. This book is a gem."
—Bill Hayes

"Another Autumn is full of surprises. I have tremendous respect for these poems that Yvonne Higgins Leach has put together from the last twenty some years. She works the language with a careful patience. Even the explosive silences ask that they be re-read aloud, so that we can hear with our ear as well. This is good stuff."
