Janet McCann's poems have been published in Kansas Quarterly, Parnassus, Nimrod, New York Quarterly, Sou'wester, Tendril, and Poetry Australia. She's won five chapbook contests sponsored by five different publishing houses. An NEA Creative Writing Fellowship winner, she has taught poetry writing and other vices at Texas A & M University since 1969. Previous poetry collections include Looking for Buddha in the Barbed Wire Garden, Pascal at the Races, and Emily's Dress. She also writes essays on Wallace Stevens and Emily Dickinson.
